On July 8th, a new top! grocery store opened its doors at 12 Andreja Pumpura Street in Daugavpils, expanding the presence of the local store network in the Latgale region and becoming the seventh outlet of this chain in one of Latvia’s largest cities — Daugavpils. Nearly one million euros were invested in the project, and the newly opened store will create nine jobs for local residents, thereby contributing to the city’s economic development. top! will offer visitors a wide range of carefully selected fresh and high-quality food products at affordable prices!
The building, which previously housed a non-food retail outlet, was acquired last year and was in rather poor condition. As a result, a complete renovation of both the facade and interior spaces was undertaken, for which we have already received compliments from local residents. Today, we are proud to open the doors to the new top! store in Daugavpils. In the spacious 290 m² sales area, customers will have access to a wide variety of quality products — freshly baked pastries, fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and groceries. The store also features a transparent service counter where customers can purchase both “Vietējā top!” prepared foods, as well as fresh meat and other items sold by weight. Our assortment includes products from local producers, popular and well-known brands, and top!’s private label, ensuring the new store caters to diverse tastes and needs.
For customer convenience and efficient service, the store is equipped with two checkout counters. With a focus on resource efficiency and sustainability, the sales area features energy-efficient equipment and LED lighting. The store will be open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, providing flexible and convenient shopping options for the residents of Daugavpils, the surrounding area, and visitors to the city.
This year, the top! stores have introduced a customer loyalty program, along with several low-price initiatives, which will also be available at the new Daugavpils store.

One of Latvia’s largest companies, partner and co-owner of the top! store network, SIA “Firma Madara 89” with 100% Latvian capital, was founded in 1993 and currently provides jobs for nearly 2,000 employees. Over the years, the company has successfully developed and improved, opening 107 top! and mini top! stores, 11 Labais stores, and 5 Skapis stores in many Latvian towns and rural centers, supplying goods from two logistics centers in Riga and Smiltene.
