School time is coming to an end, while summer is a great time not only to enjoy the holidays, but also to gain work experience and earn money. top! offers students summer jobs, both in stores and in logistics centres. If you are 16 to 20 years old, you have the opportunity to get a summer job for up to one month - in total we offer 309 vacancies in different cities of Latvia.

School time is over and a sunny summer is ahead. At this time, we offer not only to enjoy beautiful Latvian beaches and recreation areas, visits to grandparents, parties with friends, but also to spend a month working in top! – to gain experience not only of working in a store, but also to acquire basic skills of baking top! local ready-made delicacies, to learn in logistics centres how goods are packaged and how everyone's favourite products end up on store shelves.

To work at top!, a student must be at least 16 years old and ready to learn new skills.

Responsibilities of the shop assistant - goods received by the store from logistics centres must be placed on the shelves of the store according to the developed principles. Appropriate price tags should also be posted.

The duties of the assistant pastry chef – to bake locally produced top! bakery and confectionery products.

Responsibilities of a logistics centre employee – to complete goods for top! stores according to placed orders.

What to Know

  • A student between the ages of 15 and 18 works no more than 7 hours a day and no more than 35 hours a week. A student between the ages of 18 and 20 works 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week.
  • If you are under the age of 19, attending a general education, vocational, tertiary or special education institution and working during the summer break from June 1 to August 31, one parent is eligible to retain the child tax credit.
  • The Payroll Tax Book is available only in electronic form in the Electronic Declaration System (EDS) of the SRS, and all actions performed in it are performed electronically. Therefore, if you decide to work during the summer period, you must submit an application to the Electronic Declaration System (EDS) of the SRS for the assignment of the Payroll Tax Book.
  • It is important to have your own bank account in order to receive your earned wages.
