Sweet potato bake with salami and apples

- 100g thinly sliced salami
- 100g melted butter
- 3 sweet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 apple
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 tablespoon sugar syrup

- A small handful of raisins
- A small handful of chopped walnuts
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg

Preheat oven to 180 C. Grease a round baking pan. Slice the potatoes thinly (using a mandolin for best results). Batonnet the apples and salami. Place them between the potatoes. Top with raisins, nuts, and olive oil. Cover with foil. Bake in oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the bake from the oven and crank the heat to 220 C. Mix the butter, syrup, sugar, and spices. Slather the bake. Put back in the oven and bake uncovered for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
