Fried caraway cheese
Ingredients
- 200 g Greek yogurt
- 20 g cucumber
- 20 g olive oil
- 5 g white wine vinegar
- 3 g salt
- 3 g pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 garlic clove
- Breadcrumbs (wheat)
- “Jāņu” (caraway) cheese
- Chives for garnish
Preparation video
For the sauce, combine the Greek yogurt, finely grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, white wine vinegar, salt, and pepper. Cut the cheese into half-centimeter slices. Dip the cheese into egg wash and coat in breadcrumbs. Lightly fry on both sides. Decorate with chives when serving.
