Hedgehog cookies
Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 60 g sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 150 g butter, at room temperature
- 1 egg
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 150 g desiccated coconut
Preparation video
Add the flour to a bowl, then add the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and butter. Mix until the mixture resembles crumbs. Add the egg and knead until a smooth dough forms. Let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes. Roll the dough into a sausage shape and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and gently pinch one side with your fingers to create a little nose. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the cookies with some space between them. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approximately 15 minutes, then allow them to cool completely. Melt the dark chocolate and pour it into a small bowl. Dip each cookie into the melted chocolate, leaving the nose area uncovered. Sprinkle with desiccated coconut. Using a small skewer, draw the eyes and nose with the remaining chocolate. Allow the cookies to cool until the chocolate has completely set.
