Preparation video

Taste and smell a cozy winter with oven-baked apples with delicious toppings. Wash the apples, pat dry, and core them whole, best done with a corer but can be done with a small sharp knife. Place the apples in a rimmed baking dish.

Roughly chop the walnut halves, cut the marzipan into pieces, and place both inside the apples in layers. Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon sugar. Mix apple juice and white wine (or use only apple juice) and baste the apples with it. Bake at 180 C for 40 mins. Chop the other nuts and stir into the yogurt. Add some maple syrup and cinnamon to taste. Serve the apples warm with the yogurt sauce.
