“Twigs”

Ingredients

For 6 servings

  • 170 g flour
  • 70 g sour cream
  • 40 g sugar
  • 4 g baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar

Preparation video

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, sour cream, egg, salt, and knead by hand until uniform. Roll out the dough at 5 mm thickness and lightly dust with flour. Cut into 4 cm-wide strips and slice the ends off forming diamond shapes. Separate the leftover dough. Make cuts in the middle of the shapes and pull the ends through the hole. Fry the “twigs” in hot oil until golden brown. Place on paper towels to absorb extra oil. Let cool, place in a serving dish and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
